Our take

Grapefruit arrives first, bright and slightly bitter, joined by Italian mandarin that rounds the edge without turning the opening sweet. Ginger adds a clean lift that keeps the citrus from feeling flat. The fruit stays present as the heart opens, repeating grapefruit alongside clary sage and rhubarb. Rhubarb brings a tart green thread that feels more like a fresh stalk than a cooked filling. Sparkling water is a transparent note that lightens the center, letting the herbs breathe instead of crowding the fruit.

Cedar and vetiver anchor the drydown with a dry, slightly dusty wood that avoids heavy resin. Guaiac wood adds a faint smoky warmth, though it stays in the background. The overall impression is crisp and upright, more aromatic than fruity despite the name. It sits comfortably in daytime heat and works well in casual settings where a lighter touch is welcome. The blend feels modern and polished, leaning into clarity rather than depth.

Fabrice Pellegrin and Coralie Spicher shaped a fragrance that stays on one clear path from start to finish. The woods are pleasant but the composition does not shift much once the citrus settles. It can feel a bit thin in character, offering a clean image without giving the nose much to revisit. The rhubarb and sage are present yet they do not change the straightforward wood and grapefruit line. For some, that lack of movement will make it feel more like a pleasant draft than a finished statement.
