Great Ocean Road
Fragrance notes
Character
The wind off the coast is cool and damp, carrying the heavy scent of wet earth and crashing waves. You stand near a wooden railing with a cup of dark tea, and the air around you feels thick with rose petals that have been warmed by the sun but chilled by the breeze. Fig and honey add a sticky, golden richness to the opening, while cardamom and pimento provide a sharp, prickly heat that cuts through the moisture. Below the sweetness, a distinct marine note rises, smelling of fresh seaweed and clean violet petals crushed against wet stone. It is a complex, living atmosphere that feels both wild and carefully tended, like a garden built on a cliff edge where the soil is rich with cypriol and geranium.
As the moment settles, the scent grows darker and more intimate. The caramel deepens into a heavy syrup, resting against the mineral grey of ambergris and the dry, forest floor quality of oakmoss. A heavy musk moves through the air, joined by the unmistakable, primal presence of civet and the deep, resinous wood of oud. It creates a powdery, animalic warmth that clings to the wool of a coat and mixes with the cold air. The spice remains, but it is now wrapped in a sweet, amber haze that feels ancient and grounded. You remain by the water, surrounded by a blend that is aromatic, woody, and entirely musky.
