Our take

Marrakech opens with bright orange touched by aldehydes that lift the citrus into a light, airy spray. The effect is immediate and cheerful, introducing the florals that follow without lingering too long on the surface.

The heart brings orange blossom, Turkish rose, and jasmine into a dense white floral bouquet. As the composition moves deeper, Mysore sandalwood and tonka bean create a smooth, creamy foundation. Vanilla and benzoin add sweetness while labdanum and oakmoss introduce a mossy, resinous weight. Ambergris and musk provide an animalic warmth that sits close to the skin, and a faint leather note gives the base a slightly rugged edge. The drydown is heavy on amber and warm spicy accords, blending the florals into a rich, golden trail that feels suited to cool air and dim lighting.

The aldehydic opening can feel sharp and slightly synthetic to some wearers. The leather and oakmoss in the base may also read as too austere for those who prefer a purely soft vanilla floral.
