No. 7 by Lanoe opens with rose petals and white flowers that feel soft rather than bright. Parma violet adds a cool, slightly powdery edge that keeps the flowers from leaning too heavy. The start is gentle and clean, with a clear floral character that does not try to impress with volume.
Musk enters soon after and gives the flowers a skin-like warmth. Opoponax brings a resinous, amber-like depth that makes the blend feel rounded and a little balsamic. Vanilla sits underneath and adds a mild sweetness that stays close to the other materials instead of taking over.
The powdery side grows stronger as the scent settles, and the floral freshness fades into the background. Woody tones support the base and give the composition a dry anchor. The overall impression is calm and indoor, suited to a quiet morning when the air is cold and the light is pale through the window.
The scent stays in a narrow range and does not shift much once the vanilla and musk take hold. The violet can read a bit synthetic to some noses, and the resin never develops a complex finish. It is a simple blend that does what it promises without offering much beyond its few clear materials.
