Our take

Love ETC opens with a bright, almost candied pear, a squirt of bergamot, and a faintly soapy neroli that feels like it is apologizing for being there. The heart soon blurs jasmine and heliotrope into a smooth, powdery white floral, creamy rather than indolic, with lily of the valley adding a clean, green whisper. On the dry down, it collapses into a soft vanilla musk propped up by a sliver of sandalwood that does not quite stiffen the spine. The overall impression is of a pressed flower forgotten in a spring novel, pale and sweetly nostalgic, but the smell never manages to leap off the page. It feels fresh and powdery, leaning synthetic in the way a drugstore body mist does, yet the blend is competent for its very mainstream intentions. The numbers do not lie: longevity barely clears two hours, and sillage is a shy, intimate aura that stays close to the skin. This is fragrance as a mood, not a statement, best for a lazy spring afternoon when you want to smell clean and lightly floral without offending anyone. It suits the wearer who prefers a soft, comforting vanilla over a bold gardenia, but anyone expecting presence or endurance should look elsewhere. A delicate, forgettable love note, lovely while it lasts.
