Character
The opening brings coffee and neroli together, the bitter edge of the bean softened by the bright flower. Ylang-ylang adds a creamy yellow warmth that makes the first minutes feel like a pastry shop window on a cold morning. That coffee note lingers far longer than a typical top note, staying present as the heart unfolds.
Macadamia and rose create a nutty, plush floral center. Jasmine adds a dewy sheen, while sandalwood and cedar give the flowers a dry, polished floor to stand on. The woods here carry the scent close to the skin rather than pushing it outward, letting the soft nuttiness lead the way.
Vanilla and tonka bean form a thick, sweet blanket in the base. Tolu balsam and massoia add a resinous, coconut-like depth that feels heavy against the skin. The musk and ambergris anchor this sweetness so it remains detectable through a full day of wear without needing a second application.
The overall impression is a nutty, balsamic vanilla that suits a quiet walk through wet leaves. It is sweet, but the coffee and cedar keep it from becoming a sugar-heavy cloud. The powdery amber drydown is the final word.
