Character
OQP opens with nutmeg, pear and black currant. The spice is mild and the fruit reads juicy rather than sharp. Lilac enters soon after, soft and slightly powdery, with white musk smoothing the edges. Caramel sits in the heart and gives the floral notes a rounded, candy-like weight without becoming sticky. The early stage feels fruity and fresh spicy, moving quickly toward the sweeter side of the accord list.
The drydown carries sandalwood, raspberry, tonka bean and vanilla. Raspberry keeps a tart edge that stops the base from turning fully heavy. Sandalwood adds a creamy wood that grounds the fruit, while tonka bean and caramel push the sweetness further. White musk lingers and makes the finish feel powdery and musky. The overall impression is fruity, sweet and floral with woody and fresh spicy support. The limitation here is the heavy caramel and tonka combination. It can feel dense and a bit synthetic, which makes the perfume less appealing to anyone who prefers a light, airy finish.
