Incanto
Fragrance notes
Character
A courtyard in late afternoon holds a stone bench warmed by the sun. Someone sits there wearing Incanto by Officine del Profumo. The air carries a bright lift of bergamot and the juicy bite of black currant, sliced open by a crisp pear and a faint prickle of pink pepper. It feels immediate and alive, the kind of opening that makes the surrounding air taste fresh.
Jasmine sambac and orange blossom drift upward from the skin, joined by a heavy creaminess from tuberose. Tonka bean adds a soft, rounded warmth that pulls the white petals closer to the body. The flowers do not float separately. They press together into a single, dense cloud that moves with the person on the bench as they turn a page.
Patchouli anchors the blend with an earthy weight, while vanilla smooths the edges into something comforting. Iris lends a powdery touch that keeps the sweetness from feeling entirely modern. The entire composition sits close to the skin, a thick floral warmth that belongs to the person wearing it rather than the space around them.
The tonka bean and vanilla lean so heavily on the white flowers that the citrus and currant vanish within minutes. The pink pepper loses its spark almost immediately, leaving a blend that feels one shade too flat. It lacks the green lift that would make the tuberose feel balanced, and the result is a little monotonous once the opening disappears.
