The ginger here carries a rough, almost peppery edge that can feel abrasive if you prefer smooth citrus openings. It does not glide in gently. The tangerine adds a bright, juicy facet, but the bergamot is sharp and leans into the ginger rather than softening it. Orange blossom and jasmine lead the heart, and they push the scent toward a heavy white floral character that dominates the mid phase. The rose sits quietly behind them, adding a mild powder that some will find dated.
Patchouli and amber anchor the base with a dark, earthy warmth that suits cooler evenings. Sandalwood rounds the edges just enough to keep the woods from feeling completely dry. The overall impression is sweet and spicy, with the citrus never fully balancing the heavier florals. If you dislike prominent orange blossom or a resinous amber foundation, this composition will feel unbalanced. The ginger’s harsh start remains the weakest point from the first spray to the final trace.
