The opening feels clean and sharp rather than sweet, with the citrus accord sitting next to a clear herbal tone. As the fragrance moves forward, the heart introduces a rose that is dry and lightly powdered, supported by a vanilla that reads more like a warm, rounded texture than a sugary flavor. The rose does not dominate the composition. It sits comfortably with the aromatic and woody facets already present, allowing the vanilla to soften the sharper top notes without pulling the scent into dessert territory. The balsamic and amber accords begin to show here, adding a gentle warmth that deepens the floral heart.
In the base, myrrh and incense take over with a steady, resinous weight. The incense is smoky in a dry way, not heavy or sooty, and the myrrh brings a slightly earthy, bitter resin note that keeps the vanilla from feeling too smooth. The whole composition stays aromatic and woody throughout, with the fresh spicy and warm spicy accords weaving through every layer. The herbal character from the artemisia lingers longer than expected, tying the top to the base. The one limitation is that the rose itself feels a bit thin and generic, lacking the depth or individuality that would make the floral heart truly memorable.
