Our take

Omen opens with a sharp, glittering lift of aldehydes that crackle beside twin peppercorns and saffron. Cinnamon and green mandarin add a bright, resinous heat, while labdanum anchors the entrance with a sticky, amber warmth that feels immediate and bold.

The heart settles into a steeped tea accord threaded with peony and rose. Himalayan nard brings a damp, earthy depth that pulls the florals away from anything light or pretty, steering the composition toward something rooted and shadowed.

A dense base of oud and oakmoss takes over, joined by driftwood, patchouli, and ambergris. Tonka bean and vanilla soften the edges without losing the mossy, woody backbone, while sandalwood, cedar, and a return of labdanum create a resinous, smoke-free darkness.

This is a fragrance for a dimly lit room where wood panels line the walls and conversation stays low. The overall impression is a woody chypre built on amber, warm spice, and earth.
