Alpha Aoud
Fragrance notes
Character
Alpha Aoud is built for the person who wants a woody scent that stays present without announcing itself loudly. The opening moves quickly from bright Sicilian bergamot into the sharp, rooty edge of valerian and cypriol, but these top notes are only a brief preface. The real argument for this fragrance lives in how the base develops over time.
Oud and patchouli anchor the drydown, supported by birch that lends a leather-like texture and labdanum that adds a resinous weight. Haitian vetiver runs through the foundation, giving the wood a damp, earthy soil feel that keeps the richness grounded. Bulgarian rose and Egyptian jasmine sit in the heart, but they do not turn the blend floral; they soften the oregano and nutmeg so the spices feel warm rather than sharp. It is a dense composition that clings to fabric and skin for an extended period, yet it remains personal, sitting near the body rather than projecting outward toward a room.
Wear it when the air is cool enough that a heavy coat is necessary and the sky is grey, walking through wet streets where the resin and wood feel appropriate against the cold. The gurjan balsam adds a slight sweetness that pairs with that environment, creating a scent that feels like part of the weather
