Our take

Camphor hits first, sharp and cooling against the skin. Nutmeg and cardamom follow with a dry, dusty heat that keeps the opening from feeling medicinal. Maple adds a thin, resinous syrup that does not behave like a typical gourmand note. Pine enters early, green and sappy, twisting through the spice like crushed needles underfoot. Lavender sits quietly in the background, more herbal than floral.

Tobacco and tolu balsam bring a dark, sticky weight that anchors the heart. Sandalwood smooths the edges while heliotrope casts a pale, powdery shadow. The base turns milky and dense. Cacao and vanilla fold together, rich but not cloying, with benzoin and tonka bean adding a deep amber glow. Musk and ebony wood hold the blend close to the body, letting the scent linger through a long evening without reaching beyond a personal space.

The cacao and milk combination creates a thick, almost opaque texture that can feel heavy on the air. Heliotrope leans powdery, and that dryness clashes with the sweet cream if the weather turns warm. The composition is dense and persistent, staying present for hours, but the lactonic richness is not for everyone. It demands a taste for heavy, resinous sweets.
