Rawdah opens with cypress and pepper beside a fresh rose. The pepper adds a crisp bite that keeps the rose from feeling soft. Cypress brings a green, resinous edge that makes the entrance feel upright and a little austere.
The heart gathers ylang-ylang, osmanthus, benzoin, jasmine and rose. Ylang-ylang and osmanthus lend a ripe, apricot-like fruitiness that deepens the floral accord. Benzoin adds a warm resin that bridges the flowers and the base. Jasmine sits quietly in the background while rose repeats from the top, now rounder and less sharp. Sandalwood and patchouli anchor the blend with a dry, earthy woodiness. Vanilla smooths the patchouli without turning the mix sugary. The drydown stays close to the skin in character, leaning woody and warm spicy rather than bright.
Rawdah suits evening wear where a resinous floral feels appropriate. The fruitiness in the heart may read as slightly synthetic to those who prefer naturalistic osmanthus. The vanilla and benzoin combination can feel a bit heavy for anyone who dislikes sweet resinous bases.
