The opening feels cool and slightly austere, like standing near a stone wall where resin has been burning for hours.
Cherry enters the heart and changes the mood completely. It is dark and slightly tart, leaning more toward fruit skin than syrup, and it sits heavily against the continuing frankincense. The fruit never dominates, but it pulls the fragrance into a warmer, more indulgent space. Cypriol and cedarmoss take over the base with a damp, forest-floor character, and hemlock brings a faintly bitter green thread that keeps the wood from feeling polished.
