The whiskey gives it an immediate adult character that steers clear of anything sweet or juvenile. It moves forward with a clear sense of direction.
The heart settles into a firm leather accord supported by dry oak and the resinous weight of labdanum. Here the fragrance becomes darker and more grounded, with the leather feeling worn and authentic rather than polished. The base takes over with a heavy mix of oud and patchouli, creating a dense, earthy foundation that carries the musk through. The animalic and amber accords give the drydown a warm, slightly dirty complexity that feels appropriate for a cold night when the air is crisp and the sky is dark.
