Cuba Club
Fragrance notes
Character
Cuba Club opens with a sharp edge that some will find abrasive. The spicy notes arrive loud and scratchy before the rest of the composition has a chance to settle. It is a rough start that demands patience from the wearer.
The heart reveals a datura that feels creamy rather than fresh. It sits heavily against the skin, supported by a vanilla that is dark and resinous. Accords of amber and balsamic give the scent a thick, golden texture. It feels like a fragrance built for a sunlit courtyard where the heat makes the air thick. The powdery finish softens the initial bite, but the smoky incense keeps the atmosphere dry.
Philippe Hardel composed a scent that wears like a heavy linen shirt in high summer.
