Our take

The sun sits low over a quiet courtyard where terracotta walls hold the day's warmth. Someone walks past a row of clay planters, leaving a trail of rose and orange blossom in the air. The flowers feel fresh but they do not float. They sit close to the ground, anchored by something darker moving beneath them.

Ebony tree and guaiac wood give the air a dry, carved texture. Saffron and cumin add a rough heat that keeps the jasmine from turning soft. Patchouli pulls the white petals down into the earth, so the scent feels rooted rather than scattered. It is a thick, resinous space where the spices press against the flowers and the wood holds them both in place.

Amber and vetiver rise from the stone floor as the light flattens across the path. Musk settles into the fabric of a sleeve and the air turns heavy with resin. The courtyard feels sealed and still, wrapped in a blend that is woody, warm spicy, amber, rose, patchouli, white floral, and earthy.
