Oud Al Ghutra
Fragrance notes
Character
Oud Al Ghutra opens with a bright, slightly bitter grapefruit that cuts through the cool, herbal edge of artemisia. Lavender softens the entry, lending a clean floral touch that keeps the start from feeling too sharp. This opening feels brisk and aromatic, setting a clear tone before the heavier elements arrive.
The middle reveals leather and tobacco in a dense, resinous pairing. The leather carries a dry, slightly rugged character, while the tobacco adds warmth and a hint of sweetness. Together they create a heart that feels substantial and grounded, moving the fragrance away from its fresh start into something far more serious.
Cambodian oud and Indian oud anchor the base, rich and deeply woody with an animalic, smoky presence. Ambergris rounds out the foundation with a salty, amber-like warmth that enhances the overall weight. The blend feels dense and layered, with the oud varieties leading a finish that is both woody and distinctly sweet.
Picture a heavy wool coat thrown over a shirt still carrying the day's dry air, the fabric holding a warm, resinous scent as the streetlights reflect off damp pavement.
