Journey
Fragrance notes
Character
Journey by Symétrie opens with a brisk mix of lavender, Italian lemon, pepper, and coriander. The lavender carries a clean, slightly powdery edge, while the lemon adds a bright lift that keeps the spice from feeling heavy. Coriander rounds out the top with a warm, slightly nutty spark that moves the opening away from a standard citrus start.
The heart shifts toward sage, neroli, and orange blossom. Sage brings a dry, green tone that steadies the white florals, while neroli and orange blossom introduce a soft, slightly honeyed floral layer. This stage feels balanced between herbal and floral, never leaning too far in either direction. The transition from the spicy top to this calmer center happens smoothly.
Cedar and amber anchor the base alongside Indonesian patchouli leaf. The patchouli is earthy rather than sweet, and it works with cedar to give the drydown a dry, woody finish. Amber adds a mild resinous warmth without turning the blend gourmand. The overall impression stays aromatic and herbal with steady citrus and spice. The orange blossom can feel a bit synthetic on skin, which slightly distracts from the natural herbal clarity found earlier in the wear.
