Our take

Mixed Feeling opens with a bright spray of pineapple and bergamot. Saffron sits alongside them, adding a dry, slightly metallic edge to the fruit. The top is sweet but not sugary, and the citrus keeps the opening from feeling heavy. It moves forward quickly and does not linger in one place for long.

The heart brings jasmine and vanilla together with ambroxan. The white floral note gives the blend a soft, slightly soapy quality, while the vanilla rounds out the sharper edges of the fruit. Ambroxan adds a smooth, synthetic amber texture that ties the floral and sweet elements into a single, steady layer.

In the base, ambergris and black currant carry the fruity tone deeper. Musk and cedar ground the composition with a clean, dry woodiness. The animalic accord is present but restrained, adding a faint skin-like warmth rather than a strong scent of its own. The overall impression stays fruity, amber, and musky throughout.

The fragrance feels polished and modern, though the jasmine can read as sharp against the sweeter notes. The synthetic side of the amber is noticeable and may distract from the natural fruit. People who prefer soft, entirely organic florals will find the balance here awkward.
