Our take

Exotic Coral opens with a briny slap of sea spray cut by sharp lime and a sugar-soaked rum note that feels like a cocktail spilled on a sun lounger. The tiare flower and jumble of violet leaves and jasmine quickly steam up the air, turning that salt into sweet floral steam. It dries down to a creamy coconut milk and heliotrope powder with a soft sandalwood base, a marshmallow left melting on a damp towel.

This is a perfume that tries to be two things at once: a beach getaway and a candied confection. The result is a blur of sunscreen, frangipani, and vanilla sorbet, pleasant but indistinct, like a resort photograph with the focus just slightly off. It feels sweet and fresh in a synthetic way, closer to a body mist than a serious composition, though the coconut milk note has a weirdly convincing plushness. The longevity and sillage are modest, evaporating within a few hours, which is disappointing for the price point.

It suits someone who wants a lightweight, carefree tropical scent for a daytime errand or a brunch on a patio, but anyone seeking depth or longevity should skip it. Where would you wear a perfume that fades before the sun sets? Right here, at noon, with a straw in your glass and nowhere important to be.
