Ambergris rises next, smooth and faintly animalic, wrapped around a bite of praline. The sweetness is real but it does not race. It moves at the pace of the damp air in the glass walls, warm and a little heavy. Vanilla joins slowly, creamy rather than sugary, while oakmoss pulls the scent toward the earth beneath the pots. Amber sits in the background, steady and golden.
The greenhouse is not a showroom. It smells of soil, of stone warmed by the glass, of hands that have handled dried saffron and fresh stems. The fragrance fits that space because it carries both the flower and the floor. It feels composed rather than casual, suited to someone who likes a scent with weight and a visible trail of spice and moss.
Sunlight continues to move across the bench. The praline and vanilla rest near the oakmoss, the violet lingers by the jasmine, and the saffron stays in the air like dust caught in a beam of light.
