Our take

It opens with a messy, joyful collision of mango and pineapple, rhubarb’s tartness cutting through the sweetness like a lime wedge, while ginger and pink pepper spark across the top. The tropical fruit is upfront but not cloying, softened by bergamot’s citrus lift. Then the heart pulls a clever shift: aquatic notes roll in like sea spray over warm saffron and cardamom, with palisander rosewood adding a faintly dusty floral edge. Olibanum keeps it resinous, not beachy. The drydown settles into a smooth, slightly salty ambergris, sandalwood’s creamy wood, and the dark earth of cypriol musk. The overall character is a newly built beachside warung at dusk: the air is ripe with fruit, incense, sweat, and damp wood, all mingling into one humid breath.

The composition feels fresh yet dense, natural in its fruit but synthetic in its aquatic accord, mainstream enough for a hotel lobby but with enough spice to intrigue. At a 3.70 longevity and 3.23 sillage, it fades faster than a dream on an empty stomach, which is its honest weakness. You will need to reapply, or accept it as a close-wearing tropical whisper.

This is a scent for the person who wants to smell like a vacation, not a conqueror. Wear it on a humid summer afternoon or a bright spring morning, to brunch, to a market, or lounging by the pool. Skip it if you demand beast projection or prefer austere woods. Who wears a pineapple and ambergris cocktail and expects it to shout?
