Yellow mandarin and grapefruit brighten the entrance, but cinnamon and ginger press close behind them, wrapped in the prickly lift of Sichuan pepper. The room notices the moment the door closes, the air shifting as the spices settle into the background.
Castoreum and civet bring a deep animal warmth that moves through the heart, softened by tonka and rose. Jasmine and lily-of-the-valley try to keep the mood light, yet the musky weight pulls everything downward into a thick, golden haze. The scent stays present on the air long after the wearer has moved to the far side of the room, the vanilla and benzoin leaving a sweet, resinous trail along the bookshelves.
Atlas cedar and Indonesian patchouli leaf ground the base, while ambroxan and labdanum stretch the presence further into the space. Haitian vetiver adds a dry, earthy edge that keeps the vanilla from feeling too soft.
