Colostrum opens with lemon, black currant and bergamot. The citrus is bright and the currant adds a tart edge that keeps the start from feeling flat. The fruit moves quickly into the heart, where ylang-ylang and violet sit beside rose. Juniper berries and nutmeg bring a gentle spice, and incense adds a dry, faintly resinous thread through the flowers. The heart feels busy but balanced, with the violet and rose carrying most of the weight while the spice and smoke stay in the background.
The base brings white musk, vetiver, guaiac wood, patchouli, sandalwood, benzoin, leather and amber. The woods and amber create a warm, musky foundation, and the leather adds a dry, slightly rough texture. Benzoin and patchouli deepen the mix without making it heavy. The overall impression is musky, fruity, floral and powdery, with earthy and aromatic touches underneath. It suits bright daylight, when the citrus and flowers feel natural and the base stays supportive rather than overwhelming.
The formula tries to hold many directions at once. The fruit, the full floral heart and the long list of base notes crowd each other, so no single element gets room to breathe. The result is pleasant and detailed, but it lacks a clear shape. The leather and incense hint at depth that the rest of the composition never fully delivers.
