It is sweet, undeniably so, and the green accord that sits quietly underneath struggles to cut through the juice. For a moment, it seems as though the fragrance might stay in this candied place, ignoring the florals entirely in favor of a sticky, edible mask that sits close to the skin and refuses to evolve.
Then the heart begins to shift the air.
