Oud Regalis opens with bergamot, cinnamon, saffron, and coconut. The citrus is bright and immediate. Cinnamon and saffron add a warm, slightly powdery heat. Coconut gives a soft, creamy edge that keeps the spices from feeling sharp. The top feels polished and composed rather than raw.
The heart brings rose, jasmine, and ylang-ylang. The rose sits forward, supported by the white floral softness of jasmine and ylang-ylang. The flowers feel smooth and slightly abstract rather than dewy or green. As the fragrance moves toward the base, patchouli and guaiac wood add a dry, earthy weight. Cashmeran and ambroxan create a clean, modern amber texture. Oud appears in the background, woody and faintly resinous rather than animalic or medicinal. The drydown is mostly amber, wood, and musk, with the patchouli lending a dark, slightly dusty finish.
The blend leans heavily on synthetic amber and woody molecules, which can make the natural facets of the oud and florals feel muted. The coconut from the opening lingers longer than expected and clashes slightly with the dry, woody base. It is a dense, indoor scent that may feel too heavy for those who prefer transparent or airy compositions.
