Our take

Lebenstraum opens with a sharp ginger note that feels slightly thin and one-dimensional. It lacks the rounded warmth that usually makes ginger comforting, leaving a brisk edge that can feel a little stark on first spray. This is not a rich or enveloping opening, and some wearers may find it leans too sharply into spice without enough softness to balance it.

The heart introduces red pepper, cardamom, and tonka bean. The pepper adds a crisp bite, while cardamom brings a gentle, aromatic lift. Tonka bean supplies a smooth, sweet foundation that keeps the spices from becoming too dry. Together, they create a warm spicy accord that feels active and present without becoming heavy.

In the base, lily and rose oil take over. The lily offers a clean white floral character, while the rose oil adds a deeper, more resonant floral layer. The transition keeps the fragrance firmly in floral territory, supported by the lingering warmth of the earlier spices. It stays fresh throughout, never turning powdery or dull.

The rose note remains the clearest presence at the end, supported by the white floral accord. It is a straightforward floral fragrance with a spicy framework, suited to those who enjoy rose paired with ginger and pepper.
