Aurum opens with a sharp almond note that sits beside a dark cherry, both softened by the warm bite of cloves. Cognac adds a rounded, slightly boozy edge that keeps the start from feeling like a simple fruit arrangement. The spices do not overwhelm the opening, but they give it a dry lift that prevents the sweetness from settling too heavily on the skin.
The heart brings jasmine sambac and Moroccan rose into the mix, though they stay in the background behind heliotrope. That powdery floral layer bridges the spiced opening to a base that leans hard into sandalwood and tonka bean. Vanilla and amber add a golden warmth, while tobacco and vetiver introduce a dry, slightly earthy counterweight that stops the blend from becoming a flat gourmand.
