Our take

This opens with a bright, almost abrasive spritz of mandarin and rhubarb, the rhubarb’s green tartness cutting through the citrus like a blade through wet grass. That sharpness is quickly wrapped in star anise and coriander, a soft, aromatic spice that smells less like a kitchen rack and more like a dusty apothecary jar left open in a greenhouse. The tea leaf note never fully steeps; it stays dry and slightly bitter, a useful counterweight as vanilla and amber start to pull the composition into something sweeter, powderier, and vaguely licorice-tinged on the skin. The overall character is a greenhouse in early spring, damp soil and forced blooms under glass, with a faint wisp of licorice pipe smoke drifting through the vents. It feels moderately natural in its green moments but leans synthetic in that powdery vanilla-amber drydown, a common quirk at this price point. The longevity and sillage numbers are honest: you get about four hours of reasonable projection before it settles into a skin scent, which makes it a daytime companion rather than a night out statement. It suits someone who wants a soft, spicy citrus that doesn't shout, a spring morning scent for the office or a farmers market stroll. Skip it if you demand beast mode performance or if licorice and anise make you think of cough drops, because that accord lingers. Is there another fragrance in the Al Rehab lineup that does the sweet-spicy balance this neatly? Probably not.
