Fresia presents freesia and jasmine alongside basil, cloves, vanilla, and vetiver. The floral side is bright and clean, supported by the herbal lift of basil and the faint heat of cloves. It feels airy rather than heavy, with the green accord keeping the white flowers from turning dense. The vanilla is present but restrained, and the vetiver adds a dry, earthy thread that prevents the blend from leaning fully sweet.
As the composition moves forward, the vanilla and vetiver take a more central role. The vanilla grows warmer and slightly powdery, while the vetiver brings a woody, root-like dryness that grounds the florals. Cloves and basil remain in the background, offering small bursts of spice and leafiness without dominating. The freesia and jasmine stay noticeable, but they soften and weave through the vanilla and vetiver instead of leading the way. The result is a floral aroma that gradually becomes more about warm earth and dry wood than about fresh petals.
The blend can feel a bit disjointed when the spice notes surface too sharply against the vanilla. The cloves sometimes push forward in a way that clashes with the smooth floral base, creating a momentary roughness. Basil adds freshness but can also highlight the synthetic edge in the white florals. For a fragrance that carries so many accords, the balance between herbal, spicy, and sweet is not always steady.
