Our take

Grapefruit, bergamot, and lemon open with a bright, brisk citrus that feels like stepping outside after a rain shower when the air is still cool and the pavement is damp. The fruit is sharp and clean, not sugary, and it carries an ozonic lift that keeps the entrance from feeling heavy. Cardamom and nutmeg arrive quickly to warm the surface, while violet leaves add a soft, faintly powdery green that rounds the edges. The spices do not bite. They sit comfortably next to the citrus and give the early stage a tidy, composed character that works as well with a linen shirt as it does with a light sweater.

Sandalwood, vetiver, and cedar form a dry, woody base that stays close to the skin and avoids the resinous weight found in darker autumn blends. The vetiver brings a faint earthy edge that keeps the sandalwood from feeling too polished, and the cedar adds a straight, dry line through the center. The overall impression is aromatic and fresh spicy rather than rich or opulent, which makes it easy to wear through long days outdoors or casual evenings with friends. The limitation is the cardamom. It is pleasant but generic, and it never develops a distinct personality that separates this composition from dozens of other citrus woody releases on the same shelf.
