Character
Neroli and saffron lead the first moments, bright and metallic before the leather and cashmeran step in to give the opening a dry, resinous edge. Citrus provides lift, but the pamplewood and tuberose keep the entrance from feeling light. The heart quickly takes over with litchi and peony softening the oud, while magnolia and orange blossom add a creamy white floral weight. Papyrus and jasmine sit underneath, lending a papery green thread that stops the middle from collapsing into pure fruit. The opening moves fast, but the real story begins once the base settles in.
Amber and mate anchor the drydown with a bitter, herbal warmth that wraps around the musk and the remaining oud. The leather from the top reappears here in a quieter form, now smoothed by the amber and the faintly tea-like mate. Florals fade to a hushed background, letting the woody and amber accords carry the weight. The scent stays present through a full day of wear without reaching across a room, sitting close to the skin in a warm, steady layer. It suits cooler evenings and autumn days, especially for someone who enjoys oud and amber but prefers them tempered by fruit and flower rather than left stark and heavy.
