Majeste
Fragrance notes
Character
Majeste asks patience at first. The opening lemon and orange feel sharp and a little thin, rushing out before the rest of the composition is ready. It takes time for the deeper materials to catch up, and that wait can feel uneven on the skin.
Once the heart settles, cedar and ylang-ylang wrap the citrus in a warm, yellow floral haze. Patchouli adds a damp earthiness that keeps the petals from floating away. Vanilla sits underneath, smooth and sweet, while the animalic and powdery accords give the air a faint, musky heat. The scent carries well through a crowded room, and the blend stays present for hours without needing another spray.
You are standing near a carved wooden bar where the lights are low and someone has just peeled a bright orange near a vase of heavy blooms. The rind oil mixes with the polished cedar of the counter and the warm skin of the person beside you, and that close, golden air follows you through the night.
