A late evening in a barn loft, wrapped in a wool blanket, a ceramic mug of dark drinking chocolate cooling on a wooden crate. Burnt Remedy does not smell like a perfume here. It smells like the heat of a wood stove, the dry scent of hay, and the sting of propolis still on your fingers. Cashmere wood and vetiver hold the scent close to the skin, quiet and dry. Smoke does not rise from a fire. It clings to the wool, to the wood, to the sleeves of a linen shirt. Tobacco is not fresh. It is dried, slightly bitter, and crumbling. Dark chocolate is not dessert. It is bitter, dense, and cool. The air is aromatic, herbal, and faintly spiced. The scent is not clean. It is earthy, a little rough, and entirely still. The flaw is the hay. It smells exactly like a working barn, dusty and sun-dried, and it never softens. If you want a clean, polished smoke, this will smell dirty.
