The air is cool enough that breath fogs near the mouth, and the trees here still carry the sharp green bite of their needles. A man stands near a wooden fence, the grain of the cedar planks dark with damp. He reaches up to brush a branch aside, and the movement releases a bright spray of pine and citrus from his sleeve. Bergamot and apple add a crisp, clean edge to the resinous air, cutting through the morning chill without warming it. The scent sits close to the fabric and the skin, part of the stillness around him rather than something that tries to move through it.
As he walks further along the path, the green sharpness softens. Vetiver enters with a dry, earthy texture, joined by the powder of iris and a faint trace of jasmine. Benzoin brings a smooth, resinous weight that bridges the fresh opening to the woods waiting beneath. Cedar and sandalwood give the air a grounded, timber-like depth, while labdanum and amber add a golden, slightly sticky warmth. Vanilla rounds the edges of the resin, making the entire composition feel rich and settled against the cold.
