Our take

White Orchid & Poppy asks a lot of patience from anyone who dislikes heavy powder. The opening brings peach and orange forward with a bright, juicy lift, but that freshness disappears fast into a dense floral heart. Orchid, jasmine, rose, lily, violet and lavender crowd together until the composition feels almost thick. Heliotrope pushes the powder even higher, and the vanilla, tonka bean, musk, sandalwood and amber in the base do nothing to thin it out. The result is sweet, aromatic and undeniably soft, yet it lacks a crisp edge to keep the flowers from blurring into one pastel mass.

This is a scent for a bright autumn afternoon when you want to feel wrapped in something warm and familiar. The peach glows against cool air, and the lavender adds a calm, herbal touch to the bouquet. It suits someone who enjoys classic feminine florals and does not mind a heavy blanket of vanilla and powder. If you prefer airy, transparent compositions that let each note breathe clearly, this will feel too dense and too sweet. The flaw here is the blur, not the presence of any single flower.
