Nocturnum
Fragrance notes
Nocturnum presents night blooming jasmine and lily alongside pink pepper and black currant. The floral notes carry a fresh, slightly dewy quality that the fruit supports without turning sugary. Pepper adds a mild lift that keeps the flowers from sitting flat.
Amber and frankincense bring a resinous warmth that sits under the white florals. Sandalwood and musk give the blend a smooth, slightly powdery foundation. The listed animalic accord is present as a faint skin-like depth rather than a heavy fur note.
The overall impression is sweet and warm spicy rather than sharp or green. The fruity accord reads as dark berry, not citrus, and it blends into the amber instead of standing apart. The soft spicy facet stays close to the incense and wood.
Michael Loring Probst composed this 2019 release for West Third Brand. It suits evening wear and low-light settings where a warm floral feels appropriate. The mix of white floral, amber, and wood gives it a steady character that stays within the same mood from the first spray to the end of the wear.
