The kitchen door stands open to the evening air. Someone has crushed fresh basil and mint on a wooden board, and the bright lemon and bergamot from a nearby counter cut through the humidity. Lavender sits in a small glass jar beside the sink, its clean aroma mixing with the herb pile.
Licorice enters the room next. It is dark and slightly bitter, curling around the green herbs without overwhelming them. Cinnamon and dill add a warm, unusual edge to the heart, while geranium and jasmine offer a soft floral lift that keeps the licorice from feeling too heavy.
Tonka bean and vanilla settle into the air, smooth and sweet. Patchouli and tobacco ground the sweetness with a dry, earthy texture, and vetiver adds a clean, woody finish. Cashmeran bridges the spicy heart and the rich base, making the whole room feel wrapped in a warm, amber haze.
The dill note feels out of place here. It introduces a savory sharpness that clashes with the creamy vanilla and sweet tonka, pulling the composition away from its cozy direction and leaving a slightly confused impression on the nose.
