Fragrance notes
OUD MUSK by Toni Cabal places fruit and flower beside animalic wood without smoothing the edges. Pear and apple sit next to ylang-ylang and jasmine, and the result is sweet rather than bright. The fruity accord leans heavy, almost syrupy, while the yellow and white florals add a pollen-like thickness. Leather appears early in the impression, rough and cool, rubbing against the sugary surface. Musk is present throughout, giving the blend a skin-like warmth that keeps the sharper edges from feeling clinical.
The drydown is where the fragrance finds its own shape. Oud grows darker here, resinous and sour in a way that cuts through the fruit. Leather deepens, losing its initial polish and taking on a worn, dusty character. Musk turns animalic, a little raw, and the florals retreat into a distant, powdery haze. The green accord lingers at the edges, adding a stem-like bitterness that prevents the sweetness from becoming flat. It is a dense, textured finish that feels more masculine than the opening suggests, trading the initial sugar for something
dry and slightly untamed. The leather and oud together create a heavy, enclosed atmosphere, while the musk continues to pulse underneath.
