Our take

Orion opens with a flash of pineapple and apple so ripe they verge on syrupy, backed by a tart red currant bite and bergamot’s citrusy shimmer. This is no fresh, airy fruity blend — within minutes, the birch and patchouli crash in, dragging the sweetness into a smoky, leathery thicket, while jasmine and thyme add a strange herbal tension that keeps things from turning into a barbecue pit. The drydown settles into a familiar luxury base of cedar, incense, and oud, but the amber and musk smooth over any rough edges into a warm, sweet-smoky cocoon. The overall impression is less a constellation and more a bonfire built from abandoned fruit baskets — sticky, charred, and surprisingly cozy. It feels niche in its ambition and synthetic in its loudest moments, though that punchy sweetness carries the day. The longevity and sillage are both solidly moderate, so you get presence without suffocation. Best worn in spring or autumn, when that warmth can bloom without melting into cloying humidity, and ideally for daytime — the top notes are too bright for a night out, unless you want to be the only one smelling like grilled pineapple. Orion suits those who enjoy a sweet, smoky rush without demanding constant projection. Skip it if you prefer airy citruses or clean woods; this one demands you enjoy a little messiness.
