Gulbadan opens with a bright spray of plum, pineapple, peach, apple, lime, lemon, and green leaves. Star anise adds a gentle lift to the fruit without turning sharp. The top feels cheerful and immediate, a clear start that pulls you straight into the heart.
Ylang-ylang, jasmine, rose, lily-of-the-valley, lilac, French orange flower, orchid, geranium, and orris build a dense white and yellow floral core. The flowers are sweet and powdery, softened by the orris and grounded by the geranium. The floral mass stays present throughout the wear, never thinning into a faint whisper, and it keeps the fruit from dominating.
Oud, ambergris, white musk, oakmoss, styrax, vetiver, vanilla, patchouli, sandalwood, and cedar form a woody, amber base that carries the florals through daylight with steady weight. The oud and oakmoss add earthiness, the vanilla and musk round the edges, and the cedar, sandalwood, vetiver, styrax, and patchouli hold the structure together while the sun is up.
