Terre d'Iris
Fragrance notes
Character
Terre d’Iris opens with a brisk wash of bergamot, bitter orange, and grapefruit, giving the first impression a crisp, almost mineral lift. Rosemary and sage sharpen that citrus edge, while African Orange Flower and rose add a soft floral current beneath the herbs. The effect is polished and airy, with enough green freshness to feel at home in spring and summer. Terre d’Iris has an easy unisex character, suited to someone who likes clean lines, dry textures, and a floral note handled with restraint.
The drydown is where the perfume gathers its depth. Iris and orris bring a cool, powdery smoothness, while oakmoss lays down an earthy, slightly shaded texture. Fir adds a resinous woodland touch, and patchouli gives the base a dry, rooty firmness. Resins round the edges without making the composition heavy, leaving an impression like a pale wool coat brushed by pine needles after rain. The base does not rush to the front, but it gives the fresh opening a grounded finish and keeps the perfume interesting well beyond its first burst of citrus.
Its longevity is moderate, and the sillage forms a modest bubble, making Terre d’Iris comfortable in close settings and well suited to the office. Autumn also brings out the moss, fir, and patchouli beautifully, while the bright top notes keep it appealing in warmer weather. Nighttime glamour is not its strongest suit. This is a thoughtful daytime scent for lovers of iris, aromatic herbs, and quietly earthy woods.
