Our take

The air here tastes of sea spray and sun-warmed skin. A faint, mineral saltiness clings to the air, not sharp but rounded, like the dampness left on the skin after a quick swim in calm water. Then the rose appears, though it is not the stiff, powdered flower of a classic bouquet. Instead, it feels lush and slightly candied, its petals dusted with a brittle, caramelized sugar that melts as soon as it touches the tongue. There is a haziness to the scent, a warmth that feels less like heat and more like the heavy, golden hush of late afternoon. The vanilla here is dense and syrupy, intertwining with a patchouli that smells of damp earth and crushed green stems rather than dry wood. It creates a beautiful, sticky tension between the clean, salty air and the dark, resinous sweetness of the base. One breathes in and catches the sharp, almost metallic glint of amber, a high-pitched hum beneath the softer, doughy praline and the salty, ozonic air. It is a scent that smells of skin that has been basking in the sun, smelling of heat and sugar and something deeply, primally woody. The vanilla curls around the patchouli, softening its rough edges until the whole composition feels like a second skin, sweet and balsamic and endlessly warm.
