Fragrance notes
Character
The sun sits high over a rocky coastline where the ground is baked pale by heat. Salt crusts the air and clings to skin. Rosemary and thyme grow low between stones, releasing their scent when brushed by a sleeve. Wild lavender adds a soft, dusty purple edge to the breeze. Juniper gives a clean, resinous bite that mixes with the mineral smell of sea water. Carob tree brings a dry, almost cocoa-like earthiness that keeps the opening from feeling thin. It is a bright, herbal start that smells like walking a cliff path with the ocean moving below.
Sage enters and shifts the mood toward something cooler and more shaded. Cyclamen offers a faint, watery floral touch that never becomes sweet. Labdanum arrives with a warm, amber-like weight that begins to pull the fragrance away from the open air and toward the skin. The aromatic herbs do not disappear, but they settle into the background as the resin takes hold.
Castoreum and oakmoss take over with a deep, leathery earthiness. The moss smells damp and rooted, while the castoreum adds a smooth, animalic texture that feels worn and natural. Iris brings a powdery, root-like softness that rounds the edges without cleaning them up. The combination is smoky, woody, and quietly intense, like sitting on sun-heated stone long after the wind has dropped.
You are on that cliff as the heat begins to soften, surrounded by dry herbs, resin, and the heavy scent of ancient earth meeting the sea.
