Our take

Rain taps against the greenhouse glass while cool air drifts through the open vent. Carrot seeds and violet leaf meet the bright lift of bergamot near the door, sharp and green against the damp earth underfoot. A lily stands in a glass vase on the wooden bench, its petals heavy with water, and the air slowly turns toward iris root and a fine dusting of sugar. The scent feels powdery and aquatic at once, a musky white floral that carries a soft spicy thread through the damp air. It is earthy rather than sweet, though the sugar sits visibly on the surface like frost on a windowpane.

The carrot seed gives the opening a dry, rooty edge that keeps the floral heart from feeling too polished. Iris anchors the base with a quiet, chalky weight that pairs well with the lily's clean presence. The sugar is the weak point here. It leans synthetic and clings too obviously to the powder, pulling the composition toward a candy-like finish that does not suit the greenhouse's natural dampness. The violet accord lingers in the background, pretty but thin, and the overall blend never quite settles the tension between the root materials and that artificial sweetness.
