Fragrance notes
Character
Lime and orange open with a bright, juicy citrus that feels immediate. Pepper adds a sharp bite to the top, while neroli brings a faint floral lift that keeps the start from leaning too heavy on sour edges. Bergamot smooths the edges just enough to make the opening feel polished rather than raw.
Lavender and rosemary take over with a dry, green presence. Basil and hyssop push the heart in a herbal direction that feels more garden than kitchen. Nutmeg and rose sit quietly in the background, giving the middle a gentle warmth without turning sweet too soon. Geranium adds a crisp leafiness that balances the softer florals.
Vetiver and oakmoss give the base a grounded, earthy texture. Vanilla is present but restrained, sitting under the woody notes rather than leading them. Ylang-ylang and jasmine add a soft floral haze, while the Himalayan nard brings a deep, slightly medicinal rootiness that sets the whole base apart from a standard fougere.
The herbal heart works best when the air is cool and the light is clear, surrounded by damp soil and tall trees that have not fully shed their leaves. A stone path cuts through a quiet garden where every green stem still carries the morning chill.
