Prayer
Fragrance notes
Character
Prayer opens with amyris and Australian sandalwood supported by cypress. The top feels dry and clean, with the cypress adding a sharp green edge that keeps the wood from feeling heavy. It is a direct start that places the focus on timber and resin without any bright citrus or sugar to soften the entry.
The heart deepens the sandalwood theme by layering Australian sandalwood with sandalwood, Atlas cedar, and palisander rosewood. Tolu balsam, frankincense, and opoponax bring a resinous warmth that turns the center slightly powdery. The wood remains the main story, but the balsamic and spicy elements give it a rounder, more settled texture.
The base continues with copal and frankincense alongside pine. The pine adds a faint needle-like freshness that sits above the heavier resins. Copal and frankincense keep the dry, slightly smoky resin character consistent with the earlier stages, so the transition feels smooth rather than sudden.
Prayer stays firmly in woody territory throughout. The aromatic and balsamic accents support the sandalwood and cedar without pulling the fragrance toward sweetness. It feels suited to daylight because the resins stay dry and the pine keeps a clear, open air. The final impression is warm spicy and woody.
