Character
The night air cools against stone walls as a marketplace winds down, yet one corner stays alive with a heavy, resinous glow. Yuzu and mandarin orange brighten the opening with a crisp citrus flash, softened immediately by the dusty lift of frankincense and the soft seed warmth of ambrette. Cedar needles and nutmeg carry that brightness into a heart where damask rose and orange blossom unfold with a slightly indolic, honeyed weight. The spices do not bite. They hover, letting the florals breathe while the surrounding air begins to thicken with something darker.
That darkness arrives through a base where oud and cedar anchor the composition with a dry, timber-rich foundation. Guaiac wood adds a smoked resinous edge while patchouli brings an earthy, root-like depth beneath the sweetness. Musk and leather wrap around those woods, smooth and slightly animalic, until castoreum pushes the blend into a dense, almost tarry finish. The scent occupies the space around you with a steady, confident weight, and the woods linger on fabric and skin through a long evening without thinning or fading into a faint trace.
Rose and orange blossom remain faintly present beneath the oud, their petals crushed into the resin so the sweetness never fully disappears. Nutmeg and cedar needles echo in the background, keeping the woods from feeling completely static as the leather and castoreum continue to deepen, pulling the entire composition further into its warm, ambered shadows while the marketplace outside grows quieter and the stone walls hold the last of the day's heat.
